প্রিয় মতিহার,

পরশু বিকালে এসেছি কলকাতা। উপরের ঠিকানায় আছি। ওর আগেই আসবার কথা ছিলো, অসুখ বেড়ে ওঠায় আসতে পারেনি। দু চার দিন এখানেই আছি। মনটা কেবলই পালাই পালাই করছে। কোথায় যাই ঠিক করতে পারছিনে। হঠাৎ কোনোদিন এক জায়গায় চলে যাবো। অবশ্য দু দশ দিনের জন্য। যেখানেই যাই আর কেউ না পাক তুমি খবর পাবে।
বন্ধু, তুমি আমার চোখের জলের মতিহার, বাদল রাতের বুকের বন্ধু। যেদিন এই নিষ্ঠুর পৃথিবীর আর সবাই আমায় ভুলে যাবে সেদিন অন্তত তোমার বুক বিঁধে উঠবে। তোমার ঐ ছোট্ট ঘরটিতে শুয়ে যে ঘরে তুমি আমায় প্রিয়ার মতো জড়িয়ে শুয়েছিলে অন্তত এইটুকু শান্তনা নিয়ে যেতে পারবো। এই কি কম সৌভাগ্য আমার ! কেন এ কথা বলছি শুনবে? বন্ধু আমি পেয়েছি, যার সাক্ষাত আমি নিজেই করতে পারবো না। এরা সবাই আমার হাসির বন্ধু, গানের বন্ধু, ফুলের সওদার খরিদ্দার এরা। এরা অনেকেই আমার আত্মীয় হয়ে উঠেছে, প্রিয় হয়ে উঠেনি কেউ। আমার জীবনের সবচেয়ে করুণ পাতাটির লেখা তোমার কাছে লিখে গেলাম।

আকাশের সবচেয়ে দূরের যে তারাটির দিপ্তি চোখের জলকণার মতো ঝিলমিল করবে, মনে করো সেই তারাটি আমি। আমার নামেই তার নামকরণ করো। কেমন? মৃত্যু এতো করে মনে করছি কেন জানো? ওকে আজ আমার সবচেয়ে সুন্দর মনে হচ্ছে বলে। মনে হচ্ছে, জীবনে যে আমায় ফিরিয়ে দিলে, মরলে সে আমায় বরণ করে নেবে।

সমস্ত বুকটা ব্যথায় দিনরাত টনটন করছে। মনে হচ্ছে সমস্ত বুকটা যেন ঐখানে এসে জমাট বেঁধে যাচ্ছে। ওর যদি মুক্তি হয়, বেঁচে যাবো। কিন্তু কি হবে কে জানে? তোমার চিঠি পেয়ে অবধি কেবল ভাবছি আর ভাবছি - কতো কথা, কতো কি, তার কি কূল-কিনারা আছে? ভাবছি আমার ব্যথার রক্তকে রঙ্গীন খেলা বলে উপহাস যে করেন তিনি হয়তো দেবতা। আমার ব্যথার অশ্রুর বহু উর্ধ্বে। কিন্তু আমি মাটির নজরুল হলেও সে দেবতার কাছে অশ্রুর অঞ্জলি আর নিয়ে যাবো না। ফুল ধুলায় ঝড়ে পড়ে, পায়ে পিষ্ট হয়, তাই বলে কি ফুল এতো অনাদরের? ভুল করে সে ফুল যদি কারুর কবরীতেই খসে পড়ে এবং তিনি যদি সেটাকে উপদ্রুব বলে মনে করেন, তাহলে ফুলের পক্ষে প্রায়শ্চিত্ত হচ্ছে এক্ষুণি কারুর পায়ের তলায় পড়ে আত্মহত্যা করা।

সুন্দরের অবহেলা আমি সইতে পারি না বন্ধু, তাই এতো জ্বালা। ভিক্ষে যদি কেউ তোমার কাছে চাইতেই আসে অদৃষ্টের বিরম্বনায়, তাহলে তাকে ভিক্ষা নাই দাও, কুকুর লেলিয়ে দিও না। আঘাত করবার একটা সীমা আছে। সেটাকে অতিক্রম করলে আঘাত অসুন্দর হয়ে আসে। আর তক্ষুণি তার নাম হয় অবমাননা।

ছেলেবেলা থেকে পথে পথে মানুষ আমি। যে স্নেহে যে প্রেমে বুক ভরে ওঠে কাঁনায় কাঁনায় তা কখনো কোথাও পাই নি আমি। এবার চিঠির উত্তর দিতে বড্ড দেরী হয়ে গেলো। না জানি কতো উদ্বিগ্ব হয়েছো। কি করি বন্ধু, শরীরটা এতো বেশী বেয়াড়া আর হয়নি কখনো। অষুধ খেতে প্রবৃত্তি হয়না।

আমায় সবচেয়ে অবাক করে নিশুতি রাতের তারা। তুমি হয়তো অবাক হবে, আমি আকাশের প্রায় সব তারাগুলোকে চিনি। তাদের সত্যিকারের নাম জানিনে। কিন্তু তাদের প্রত্যেকের নামকরণ করেছি আমার ইচ্ছেমতো। সেই কতোরকম মিষ্টি মিষ্টি নাম, শুনলে তুমি হাসবে। কোন তারা কোন ঋতূতে কোন দিকে উদয় হয় সব বলে দিতে পারি। জেলের ভেতর যখন সলিটারি সেলে বন্ধ ছিলাম তখন গরমে ঘুম হতো না। সারারাত জেগে কেবল তারার উদয়াস্ত দেখতাম। তাদের গতিপথে আমার চোখের জল বুলিয়ে দিয়ে বলতাম, বন্ধু, ওগো আমার নাম না জানা বন্ধু, আমার এই চোখের জলের পিচ্ছিল পথটি ধরে তুমি চলে যাও অস্তপারের পানে। আমি শুধু চুপটি করে দেখি। হাতে থাকতো হাতকড়া। দেয়ালের সঙ্গে বাধা চোখের জলের রেখা আঁকাই থাকতো মুখে, বুকে। আচ্ছা বন্ধু, ক'ফোটা রক্ত দিয়ে এক ফোঁটা চোখের জল হয় তোমাদের বিজ্ঞানে বলতে পারে? এখন শুধু কেবলই জিজ্ঞাসা করতে ইচ্ছে করে, যার উত্তর নেই, মিমাংসা নেই, সেইসব জিজ্ঞাসা।

যেদিন আমি ঐ দূরের তারার দেশে চলে যাবো, সেদিন তাকে বলো, এই চিঠি দেখিয়ে, সে যেন দু'ফোটা অশ্রুর দর্পন দেয় শুধু আমার নামে। হয়তো আমি সেদিন খুশীতে উল্কা ফুল হয়ে তার নোটন খোঁপায় ঝড়ে পড়বো। তাকে বলো বন্ধু, তার কাছে আমার আর চাওয়ার কিছুই নেই। আমি পেয়েছি, তাকে পেয়েছি, আমার বুকের রক্তে, চোখের জলে। আমি তার উদ্দেশ্যে আমার শান্ত স্নিগ্ধ অন্তরের পরিপূর্ণ চিত্তের একটি সশ্রদ্ধ নমস্কার রেখে গেলাম। আমি যেন শুনতে পাই, সে আমারে সর্বান্তকরণে ক্ষমা করেছে। ফুলের কাঁটা ভুলে গিয়ে তার উর্ধ্বে ফুলের কথাই যেন সে মনে রাখে।

ঘুমিয়ে পড়েছিলাম। স্বপ্ন দেখে জেগে উঠে আবার লিখছি। কিন্তু আর লিখতে পারছি না ভাই। চোখের জল, কলমের কালি, দুই-ই শুকিয়ে গেলো। তোমরা কেমন আছো, জানিও। তার কিছু খবর দাও না কেন? না কি সেটুকুও মানা করেছে? ঠিক সময়মতো সে ওষুধ খায়তো? কেবলই কীটস্কে স্বপ্ন দেখছি, তার পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে ফেমিব্রাউন পাথরের মতো। ভালবাসা নাও।

দোকানের নামে ‘মেসার্স’ বা ‘ট্রেডার্স’ লেখা থাকে কেন?

বেশিরভাগ সময় দেখা যায় ব্যবসায় প্রতিষ্ঠানের নামের পাশে ব্রাদার্স/ট্রেডার্স/মেসার্স শব্দগুলো। যেমন- তানভীর ব্রাদার্স, সুইট ট্রেডার্স, মেসার্স জাহিদ স্টোর। কখনো কি আপনার মনে প্রশ্ন জেগেছে, এই শব্দগুলো নামের পাশে যুক্ত করা হয় কেন? কিংবা এই শব্দগুলোর মানে কি? চলুন, সেসব প্রশ্নের উত্তর জানা যাক-

মসিয়ার (Monsieur) হলো এক ধরনের ফরাসি উপাধি; যার অর্থ জনাব/মহোদয়। মসিয়ার এর বহুবচন হলো মেইসিয়ারস, সংক্ষেপে বলা হয় মেসার্স (এর বাংলা অর্থ সর্বজনাব)। আমরা মেসার্স উচ্চারণ করলেও অভিধানে একে বলা হয় ‘মেসাজ’। জেনে রাখা ভালো, ‘মেসার্স’ শব্দটি ইংরেজি ‘মিস্টার’ শব্দের বহুবচন।

মেসার্স শব্দটি সাধারণত বিভিন্ন বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের নামের আগে ব্যবহৃত হতে দেখা যায়। কিন্তু এই শব্দটি বেশির ভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই ভুলভাবে ব্যবহার করা হয় আমাদের দেশে। অজ্ঞতা এবং অসচেতনতার কারণেই এটা হয়ে থাকে। যেসব বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের নাম কোনো মানুষের নামে এবং তার সঙ্গে অন্য আরো মানুষের সংশ্লিষ্টতা প্রকাশ করে (যেমন ‘নুরুল অ্যাণ্ড ব্রাদার্স’ বা ‘কেয়া অ্যাণ্ড কোম্পানি’), সেসব বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের নামের ক্ষেত্রে ‘মেসার্স’ শব্দটি ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে।
তবে যেসব বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের নাম কোনো মানুষের নামে নয় (যেমন ‘হ্যালো ট্রেডার্স’ বা ‘হাতি কুরিয়ার সার্ভিস’), সেসব প্রতিষ্ঠানের নামের আগে ‘মেসার্স’ শব্দটির ব্যবহার সঠিক নয়। আবার আমরা যেমন নিজেরা নিজেদের নাম বলার ক্ষেত্রে ‘মিস্টার’ বা ‘জনাব’ বলিনা, তেমনই বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের ক্ষেত্রে ‘মেসার্স’ শব্দটির ব্যবহার তেমনি হওয়া উচিত। অর্থাৎ কোনো বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের নাম ‘নুরুল অ্যাণ্ড ব্রাদার্স’ বা ‘তানভীর অ্যাণ্ড কোম্পানি’ হলেও নিজেরা ‘মেসার্স’ শব্দটি ব্যবহার করা যাবে না।

এই ক্ষেত্রে ওই প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোকে উদ্দেশ্য করে বাইরে থেকে কেউ যখন যোগাযোগ করবেন (যেমন চিঠি বা ই-মেইলের মাধ্যমে), তখন তারা লিখবেন ‘মেসার্স আলম অ্যাণ্ড ব্রাদার্স’ বা ‘মেসার্স গণেশ অ্যাণ্ড কোম্পানি’। এটি অনেকটা শোভনীয় পদ্ধতি। আবার ‘মিস্টার’ শব্দটি পুংলিঙ্গ এবং ‘মেসার্স’ শব্দটি তার বহুবচন হলেও কোনো বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের নামে, কোনো স্ত্রীলোকের নামে হলে এবং তার সঙ্গে অন্য কেউ জড়িত থাকলে (যেমন ‘নিশি অ্যাণ্ড ব্রাদার্স’), উপরোক্ত নিয়মে এই ক্ষেত্রেও ‘মেসার্স’ শব্দটি ব্যবহার করা যায়।

পায়ের দুর্গন্ধ! এই ভয়ে অনেকে জুতো পরা এড়িয়েই চলেন। আসলে ঘেমে যাওয়া পায়ে খুব তাড়াতাড়ি ব্যাকটেরিয়া জন্মায়, যার ফলে পায়ে দুর্গন্ধের সৃষ্টি হয়। তবে এই অস্বস্তিকর পরিস্থিতি থেকে মুক্তি পাওয়া সম্ভব।

পা পরিষ্কার রাখুন। বাড়ি ফিরে গরম পানিতে একটু নুন ফেলে ভালো করে পা ধুয়ে নিন। এতে পায়ে পায়ে ব্যাকটেরিয়া জন্মায় না, দুর্গন্ধও সৃষ্টি হয় না।

সিন্থেটিক নয়, সুতির মোজা পরুন। একই মোজা না ধুয়ে পর পর দু’দিন ব্যবহার করবেন না।

জুতো নিয়মিত রোদে দিন। সপ্তাহে অন্তত একবার জুতোর ভিতরে সুগন্ধি পাউডার দিয়ে, মুছে নিন।

ঘন ঘন চা বা কফি খাবেন না। মশলাদার খাবারও এড়িয়ে চলুন।

জুতোর ভিতরে খানিকটা বেকিং সোডা ছিটিয়ে দিন। পা পরিষ্কার রাখে, ব্যাকটেরিয়া জন্মাতে দেয় না।

নিজেকে ভালো রাখার দায়িত্ব নিজেরই

কিচ্ছু ভালো লাগে না, জীবনটা কেমন যেন, জীবনে শান্তি নেই, সবকিছুই আছে, তবুও কেমন যেন খাপছাড়া খাপছাড়া ভাব, মনে হয় আমি মরে গেছি, জীবনে আর সুখ পাওয়া হলো না, মন খারাপ কিন্তু কেন মন খারাপ তার কারণ জানি না, রেজাল্ট ভালো তাও প্রতিদিন এটা ভেবে নিজেকে চৌদ্দ বার সমাধিস্থ করি যে আমার দ্বারা কিছু হবে না, এই চিন্তাগুলোর একটাও যদি আপনার মাথায় সবসময়ের জন্যই ঘুরপাক খায় তাহলে বুঝবেন যে আসলে সমস্যা কোনো কিছুতেই নেই, সমস্যাটা আপনার নিজের মধ্যেই।

সুখ সম্বন্ধে গৌতম বুদ্ধের একটি জনপ্রিয় উক্তি হচ্ছে—তিনি বলেছিলেন যে, ‘সুখের কোনো উপায় নেই, সুখীতে থাকাই তার একমাত্র উপায়’ এবং তিনি এটাও বলেন যে, ‘শান্তি মনের ভেতর থেকে আসে, তাই সেটা ছাড়া শান্তি অনুসন্ধান করো না’ পরপর এই দুইটা বাক্য বিশ্লেষণ করলে এটা পাওয়া যায় যে, আমাদের পারিপার্শ্বিকতা ছাড়াও সুখ-শান্তির একটা বড়ো এবং প্রধান জায়গা হচ্ছে মানুষ নিজে। তাকে কেন্দ্র করেই যাবতীয় সবকিছু ঘুরপাক খায় এবং আপনার ভালো থাকা বা না থাকাটাও প্রত্যক্ষ বা পরোক্ষভাবে আপনার নিজের সঙ্গেই সম্পর্কযুক্ত।

‘মানুষ যতটা সুখী হতে চায়, সে ততটাই হতে পারে। সুখের কোনো পরিসীমা নেই। ইচ্ছে করলেই সুখকে আমার আকাশ অভিসারী করে তুলতে পারি’ আব্রাহাম লিংকনের এই উক্তির দ্বারা তিনিও অকপটে গৌতম বুদ্ধের দিকেই গিয়েছেন।

এই সব কথার বিশ্লেষণে একটা অর্থই দাঁড়ায় যে, মানুষ চাইলে সুখী হতে পারে। কিন্তু এখানে চাওয়ার বিষয়টি অতীব জরুরি। অভাবকেন্দ্রিক বা পারিপার্শ্বিকতা কেন্দ্রিক মনের অসুখ আমাদের নিত্যদিনের ব্যাধিতে পরিণত হয়ে যায় তা শুধু আমাদেরই অযত্নের ভুলে। এবং এই ব্যাধিগ্রস্ত মন হাজারটা পাওয়ার এবং থাকার মাঝে শুধু না থাকাটাই খোঁজে। কাচের গ্লাসের ৩০ শতাংশ পানি শূন্য আছে এটাই দেখতে পায় এবং খুব স্বাভাবিকভাবেই বাকি ৭০ শতাংশ দৃষ্টিগোচর হয়ে যায় আর কোনোভাবে তা নজরে আসলেও অনর্থক হিসাবেই রয়ে যায়। এই অপ্রাপ্তি বোধের সমষ্টি পরবর্তীকালে আর সরল থাকে না, তা অতীব এবং জটিল ও ভয়াবহ রূপে প্রকাশিত হয়। হতাশা, অবসাদ একসময় জীবনের মায়াটাকেও তুচ্ছ জ্ঞান করে দেয়। এছাড়াও মানসিক বিকৃতির পাশাপাশি তা শারীরিক অসুখেরও নামান্তর ঘটায়।

এখন এর থেকে কি বাঁচবার উপায় কি আদৌ নেই? আছে এবং উপায়টা সদা বিরাজমান। সকলের সঙ্গে সৌহার্দপূর্ণ আচরণ এবং প্রথমদিকে জোর করে হলেও হাসি-খুশি থাকার ক্ষুদ্র প্রয়াস পুড়ে যাওয়া ছাইয়ের মাঝে চারাগাছের উপস্থিতি আনে। মানুষের সঙ্গই পারে মানুষের দুর্দশা দূর করতে এবং ৮০ বছরের শরীরেও ১৮ বছরের তারুণ্য আনতে।

দ্রুত ঘুমানোর কৌশল

নিয়মিত, পর্যাপ্ত ঘুম হয়- এমন মানুষ মনে হয় এই যুগে কমই পাওয়া যায়। জীবনযাপনের স্ট্রেস, স্বাস্থ্য সমস্যা সর্বোপরি সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ার হাতছানিতে অনেকেই রাত জাগেন। ঘুমানোর সুযোগ থাকা সত্ত্বেও তারা ঘুমান না। কিন্তু কিছু মানুষ কিন্তু চাইলেও ঘুমাতে পারেন না। তারা নিজেদের স্ট্রেস কম রাখার চেষ্টা করেন, স্বাস্থ্যের যত্ন নেন, ঘুমাতে যাবার আগে মোবাইল ফোনটা অফ করে দেন, বই পড়েন, বালিশ রোদে দেন। এরপরেও তাদের ঘুম আসতে চায় না।  ঘুম না আসার হতাশায় যারা ভুগছেন, তারা জেনে নিতে পারেন একটি কৌশল

এই কৌশলটি হলো নিঃশ্বাসের একটি ব্যায়াম, যার নাম ৪-৭-৮ টেকনিক।  কী ভাবে এই ব্যায়াম করবেন?

প্রথমে আপনার জিহবার ডগা দিয়ে ওপরের পাটির দাঁতের ঠিক পেছনে থাকা মাংসে চাপ দিন ও মুখ দিয়ে নিঃশ্বাস বের করুন। এরপর ৪ গুনতে গুনতে নাক দিয়ে শ্বাস নিন। ৭ গুনতে গুনতে এই শ্বাস ধরে রাখুন। এরপর ৮ গুনতে গুনতে মুখ দিয়ে শ্বাস বের করে দিন। মোট চারবার এই কাজটি করুন। এতে আপনার ঘুম চলে আসবে।

এই কৌশলটি আবিষ্কার করেন অ্যান্ড্রু ওয়েইল নামের এক ডাক্তার, আর এর ধারণা নেওয়া হয়েছে প্রাণায়াম নামের যোগব্যায়ামটি থেকে।  ড. ওয়েইল এর নাম দেন ‘রিল্যাক্সিং ব্রেথ’, কারণ তা মন ও শরীর দুটোকেই শান্ত করে দেয়।  যাদের ঘুম সহজে আসতে চায় না, তাদের ঘুম এনে দেয়।

অনেকেই বিভিন্ন কারণে স্ট্রেসে থাকেন। রাতের পর রাত তাদের ঘুম হয় না। শরীর শিথিল হতে চায় না। আবার কখনো কখনো ক্লান্তি বেশি হওয়ার কারণেও ঘুম আসে না।  তারা এই ব্যায়ামটি করুন। প্রথমবার ব্যায়ামটি করার পর এর থেকে মনোযোগ সরিয়ে নিন।  একটু একটু করে ঘুম চলে আসবে। দুই মিনিটের মাঝেই ঘুমিয়ে পড়বেন আপনি। এছাড়া যদি মাঝরাতে ঘুম ভেঙ্গে যায়, তাহলেও আবার ঘুমিয়ে পড়ার জন্য এই কৌশলটি ব্যবহার করতে পারেন।

রাসূল (সা.) এর গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ৯ উপদেশ

একদিন একজন লোক এসে রাসূলে পাক (সা.) কে বলল- হুজুর আমায় কিছু নসিহত করুন। হুজুরে পাক (সা.) বললেন, তোমরা অন্যের ধন দেখে ঈর্ষা করবে না, কারণ অন্যের ধন দেখে যারা ঈর্ষান্বিত হয় তাদের চেয়ে দরিদ্র এবং নিকৃষ্ট আর কেউ নেই। এরা আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রাসূলের দুশমন। তোমরা যখন নামাজ পড়বে তখন মনে করবে এই আমার জীবনের শেষ নামাজ। আর যখন কথা বলবে তখন ওজন করে কথা বলবে- এমন কথা বলবে না যা বললে তুমি অনুতপ্ত হবে। কারণ কথা হচ্ছে ধনুকের তীরের মতো, একবার মুখ থেকে ফসকে গেলে তার ওপর তোমার আর কোন নিয়ন্ত্রণ থাকে না। হযরত আবু হোরায়রা থেকে বর্ণিত- মিশকাত শরীফের একটি হাদিসে আছে রাসূলে পাক (সা.) নয়টি উপদেশ দিয়েছিলেন। এগুলো হচ্ছে :

১. আল্লাহকে প্রকাশ্যে এবং অপ্রকাশ্যে ভয় করবে।

২. আল্লাহর ভয় মনে রেখে ইনসাফের কথা বলবে- রাগে বা আনন্দে আল্লাহকে ভুলে যাবে না।

৩. ধনী বা দরিদ্র যে অবস্থায়ই থাক না কেন, ইসলামে সাবেত থাকবে অর্থাৎ বিশ্বাসে অবিচল থাকবে।

৪. আত্মীয়-স্বজন তোমাদের ত্যাগ করলে তোমরা তাদের ত্যাগ করো না।

৫. যারা তোমাদের শান্তি কেঁড়ে নেয়, তাদের তোমরা শান্তি দেবার চেষ্টা করবে।

৬. যারা তোমার উপর জুলুম করেছে তাদেরকে মাফ করে দেবে।

৭. বেশির ভাগ সময় নীরবতা অবলম্বন করে আল্লাহর চিন্তায় মগ্ন থাকবে।

৮. কথাবার্তা এবং কাজের ফাঁকে আল্লাহর জিকির অব্যাহত রাখবে।

৯. যেখানেই থাক, মন্দ কাজ থেকে বিরত থাকবে এবং অন্যকে মন্দ কাজ থেকে বিরত রাখার চেষ্টা করবে।

সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় যে দোয়া কখনো ছাড়তেন না বিশ্বনবি

মানুষ সব সময় তার প্রয়োজনীয় বিষয়গুলো আল্লাহর কাছে কামনা করেন। আল্লাহ তাআলাই মানুষের সব ইচ্ছা-আকাঙ্খা পূরণ করেন। এমন কোনো বিষয় নেই, যা আল্লাহ ছাড়া অন্য কেউ পূরণ করতে পারে।
এ কারণেই প্রিয় নবি সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম জীবনের সব কিছু মহান আল্লাহর কাছেই কামনা করতেন। হাদিসে এসেছে-

হজরত ইবনে ওমর রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু বলেন, রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম সকাল ও সন্ধ্যা হলেই নিন্মোক্ত বাক্যগুলো না বলে ছাড়তেন না। অর্থাৎ তিনি এ বাক্যগুলো সব সময় বলতেন-

ﺍﻟﻠَّﻬُﻢَّ ﺇِﻧِّﻲ ﺃَﺳْﺄَﻟُﻚَ ﺍﻟْﻌَﻔْﻮَ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻌَﺎﻓِﻴَﺔَ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟﺪُّﻧْﻴَﺎ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺂﺧِﺮَﺓِ، ﺍﻟﻠَّﻬُﻢَّ ﺇِﻧِّﻲ ﺃَﺳْﺄَﻟُﻚَ ﺍﻟْﻌَﻔْﻮَ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻌَﺎﻓِﻴَﺔَ ﻓِﻲ ﺩِﻳﻨِﻲ ﻭَﺩُﻧْﻴَﺎﻱَ ﻭَﺃَﻫْﻠِﻲ، ﻭَﻣَﺎﻟِﻲ، ﺍﻟﻠَّﻬُﻢَّ ﺍﺳْﺘُﺮْ ﻋَﻮْﺭَﺍﺗِﻲ، ﻭَﺁﻣِﻦْ ﺭَﻭْﻋَﺎﺗِﻰْ ﺍَﻟﻠﻬُﻢَّ ﺍﺣْﻔَﻈْﻨِﻰْ ﻣِﻦْ ﺑَﻴْﻦِ ﻳَﺪَﻯَّ ﻭَ ﻣِﻦْ ﺧَﻠْﻔِﻰْ ﻭَ ﻋَﻦْ ﻳَﻤِﻴْﻨِﻰْ ﻭَ ﻋَﻦْ ﺷِﻤَﺎﻟِﻰْ ﻭَ ﻣِﻦْ ﻓَﻮْﻗِﻰْ ﻭَ ﺍَﻋُﻮْﺫُ ﺑِﻌَﻈْﻤَﺘِﻚَ ﺍَﻥْ ﺍُﻏْﺘَﺎﻝَ ﻣِﻦْ ﺗَﺤْﺘِﻰْ -

উচ্চারণ : আল্লাহুম্মা ইন্নি আস্-আলুকাল আফ্ওয়া ওয়াল আফিয়াতা ফিদ্-দুনইয়া ওয়াল আখিরাতি, আল্লাহুম্মা ইন্নি আস্আলুকাল আফ্ওয়া ওয়াল আফিয়াতা ফি দ্বীনি ওয়া দুন্ইয়ায়া ওয়া আহলি ওয়া মালি, আল্লাহুম্মাস্তুর আওরাতি ওয়া আমিন রাওআতি, আল্লাহুম্মাহফাজনি মিন বাইনি ইয়াদাইয়্যা ওয়া মিন খালফি ওয়া আন ইয়ামিনি ওয়া আন শিমালি ওয়া মিন ফাওক্বি ওয়া আউজু বিআজমাতিকা আন উগতালা মিন তাহতি।

অর্থ : হে আল্লাহ! আমি তোমার কাছে দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতের নিরাপত্তা চাই। হে আল্লাহ আমি তোমার কাছে আমার দ্বীন, দুনিয়া, পরিবার ও সম্পদের নিরাপত্তা চাই। হে আল্লাহ! তুমি আমার দোষসমূহ ঢেকে রাখ এবং ভয়ের বিষয়গুলো থেকে আমাকে নিরাপদ রাখ। হে আল্লাহ! তুমি আমাকে হেফাজত কর সামনে থেকে, পেছন থেকে, ডান থেকে, বাম থেকে এবং উপরের দিক থেকে। হে আল্লাহ! আমি তোমার কাছে মাটির নিচে ধ্বসে যাওয়া থেকে আশ্রয় চাই।’ (আবু দাউদ, মিশকাত, ইবনে মাজাহ)

হাদিসে উল্লেখিত দোয়াটিতে রয়েছে মানুষের দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে নিরাপত্তা লাভের কামনা বাসনা। দুনিয়ার অপরাধ ও ভয় থেকে বেঁচে থাকার আবেদন। দুনিয়ার যাবতীয় বিপদ-আপদ থেকে মুক্ত থাকার আবেদন।

প্রিয় নবি সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লামের এ আমলটি উম্মতে মুসলিমার জন্যও জরুরি। যে আমলে দুনিয়া ও পরকালের সব বিপদাপদ থেকে নিরাপদ থাকবে মুমিন।

আল্লাহ তাআলা মুসলিম উম্মাহকে নিয়মিত সকাল ও সন্ধ্যায় হাদিসে শেখানো এ আমলটি করার তাওফিক দান করুন। দুনিয়া ও পরকালের যাবতীয় চাওয়া-পাওয়া ও অনিষ্টা থেকে মুক্ত থাকার তাওফিক দান করুন। আমিন।
