গুগলে তথ্য খোঁজ কার্যকরী কৌশল

সুনির্দিষ্ট শব্দমালা

দুটি বা এর বেশি শব্দে উদ্ধৃতি চিহ্ন ব্যবহার করুন। যেমন “technology history”

শব্দ বিয়োগ

আপনি হয়তো একটি বিষয়ে গবেষণা করছেন, কিন্তু কোনো একটা বিশেষ অংশ বাদ দিতে চান। সে ক্ষেত্রে বিয়োগ চিহ্নের (-) ব্যবহার হলো সমাধান। যেমন technolgy history -calculator

নির্দিষ্ট ওয়েবসাইটে খোঁজ

কোনো বিষয় নির্দিষ্ট একটি ওয়েবসাইটে খুঁজতে চাইছেন। কিন্তু ওই সাইটে সার্চ সুবিধা নেই, সে ক্ষেত্রে লিখুন এভাবে “technolgy column” site:prothom-alo.com

একই রকম বা সমার্থক শব্দ

যে শব্দ বা দু-তিনটি শব্দ দিয়ে তথ্য খোঁজ করছেন, তার সমার্থক বা প্রতিশব্দের তথ্যও যাতে পেতে পারেন সে জন্য শব্দের আগে টিল্ড () চিহ্ন বসিয়ে দিন। যেমন ..technology facts

নির্দিষ্ট ঘরানার ফাইল

কোনো বিষয়ের ওয়ার্ড ডকুমেন্ট কিংবা পাওয়ার পয়েন্ট ফাইল খুঁজতে চাইলে ফাইলের ধরন উল্লেখ করে দিতে হবে। যেমন “laptop computer” filetype:ppt

এটা অথবা ওটা

গুগলে যে শব্দ দিয়ে খোঁজ করবেন, সেই বিষয়ের তথ্যই গুগল খুঁজে দেবে। যদি দুই ধরনের বিষয় খুঁজতে চান তবে শব্দের মাঝখানে or বসিয়ে দিন। যেমন technology trend or technology business

সংখ্যা সীমা

কোনো নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদকাল কিংবা মূল্যমানের সীমার মধ্যে তথ্য খুঁজতে চান, তবে তা উল্লেখ করে দিন। যেমন mobile user 2000..2016 কিংবা smartphone 10000..25000

ক্যালকুলেটর

গুগলের সার্চবারকে সরাসরি ক্যালকুলেটর হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা যায়। এখানেই হিসাব কষা যাবে। যেমন 13.5*1490

শব্দের সংজ্ঞা

কোনো কিছুর সংজ্ঞা জানতে শব্দের আগে difine লিখে দিতে হবে। যেমন define:digital device

ব্লগের তথ্য

নির্দিষ্ট বিষয়ে ব্লগ লেখকেরা কী লিখেছেন বা ব্লগসাইটগুলোতে সেটি নিয়ে কী আলোচনা হচ্ছে, সেসব তথ্য পেতে লিখতে হবে এভাবে- stress management:blogs

সময় বা আবহাওয়া
কোনো স্থানের তখনকার সময় বা আবহাওয়ার তথ্য জানতে শুধু লিখে দিন-time in Chittagong

তুলনা বা একই রকম জিনিস

একটা জিনিসের সঙ্গে আরেকটার তুলনা করতে better than, আবার একই রকম কিছু খুঁজতে reminds me of ব্যবহার করতে পারেন। যেমন “better than plastic”. “reminds me of the Beatles” অথবা “sounds like drama”
